Berkeley Hillel was my home away from home during college. It was where I went every week to meet friends, enjoy shabbat dinner, and take a break between classes.
Berkeley Hillel was where I grew as a leader. Many of my best memories of the building include time planning, thinking, debating and arguing about campus politics, global politics and developing my own role and my own point of view.
Berkeley Hillel was were I made life-long friendships. Some of the people I spent the most time with at Berkeley Hillel in college are friends I still see on a regular basis 15 years later. Many of the connections I made helped me get my first job out of college and navigate my career ever since.
Most importantly, it was in large part thanks to the Berkeley Jewish community that my wife Mel and I started dating after college and got married in 2020.
