Any time I had an idea for an event, I would go upstairs to Emily's office and we would find a way to make it happen. This photo is from the event I am most proud of. With help from the Helen Diller Institute and Challah for Hunger we invited six local holocaust survivors for an evening of intergenerational challah braiding on International Holocaust Remembrance Day event. We filled the auditorium and spilled into the lobby as students got to hear survivors tell their stories in small intimate groups.

I am so grateful that Berkeley Hillel was my home away from home during my years at Berkeley and supported me as I learned how to build Jewish community.
